Alaka’i Technologies has designed an innovative passenger unmanned aerial vehicle and aircraft taxi.
Such a drone is flying on hydrogen fuel, the capacity of the tanks is from 200 to 400 liters of liquid hydrogen, which allows Skai to stay in the air for up to 5 hours, when using additional tanks, the time is doubled.
The maximum speed of Skai is 190 km / h. The total engine power is 100 kW, which allows you to cover a distance of up to 650 km.
The capacity of this aircraft is 5 people during an unmanned flight, and 4 passengers + 1 pilot in a manned flight. Universal air vehicle can be operated with or without a pilot. Like a helicopter, Skai has a vertical take-off and landing. Accordingly, no special conditions for landing are required. Like a regular helicopter, Skai can land on a helipad or locate a landing site visually from the air.
The manufacturer was worried about flight safety. In the event of engine failure, a glider parachute is provided.
